NEW YORK (AP) — The latest installment in “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” is on track to be one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
The New York Times says “The Desolation” has a “tremendous chance” to be the biggest hit of the week, and the Times says it’s the biggest movie of the month.
“The Descent” is based on the novel by J.R.
R Tolkien, and it is directed by Andy Muschietti.
The Times says that the biggest hits in the Times’ list include:The Hobbit, “The Battle of the Five Armies,” “The Hunger Games,” “Madagascar 3,” “Shrek,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2,” “Gravity” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
